The Terrace Club behind corps headquarters in Frankfurt (ex-IG Farben Building) was bombed in May 1972 by members of the terrorits Red Army Faction. Throughout the 70s and 80s V Corps soldiers lived with the constant fear of terorism. In 1982 alone there were 68 terrorist threats against U.S. soldiers in Germany, Mai 1972.
